Season 1 presents five of the most unusual school ways in the world, and accompany the children as they make their way on these paths. We will go to the coldest city in the world: Oimjakon, Siberia: where in winter, temperatures of up to -75 degrees Celsius make each step a challenge. Next stop, the Maasai in the Kenyan savannas, who’s way to school is full of fascinating and dangerous wild animals. Then in the Chinese province of Sichuan, we will accompany the youngest members of the Yi Folk, as they make their way climbing up dangerous mountainous trails on their way to school. The series will take us to the Peruvian Uros, who live on floating man-made-islands in the Titicaca Sea and must take boats to school. And go to the Tibetan plateau, where the children use sheets of ice to cross a huge river to get to school.
