I'm so glad iTunes finally added another film with Marilyn Monroe in it. All of her movies are wonderful.

This is a good old-fashion gang movie. It is quiet suspenseful and intriguing film that has been abandoned by history and it is very interesting to watch Marilyn, since it is one of her first times on film. Just to warn future viewers!! Marilyn has a very short part, so if you purchase this movie just to watch her, you might be disappointed. Hopefully iTunes will post more of her movies soon!!

One of the top noir films of all time. An unlucky small-timer tangles with corruption, crooks, and dames in a stylishly rotten, expertly lit and composed environment. Director John Huston crammed in all the crooked angles, long shots, and creepy shadows a noir aesthete could ever want. Sterling Hayden was never more hunky, nor more doomed. You'll be left dazzled and depressed by the beautiful bitterness of this masterpiece. Perfection.

Top notch acting by Sterling Hayden, Sam Jaffe, Louis Cahern, and a nice bit by Marilyn Monroe. Great execution of the storyline. A great film. ,

This movie reminds me of Fritz Lang's 1931 movie M in its portrayal of the relationship between criminals and the police, two sides of a shared story. The Asphalt Jungle shows how criminals operate as a society, with its own rules and code of conduct. As with any group, things fall apart when individuals fail to live by agreed upon norms.
