Art & Copy is a powerful film about advertising and inspiration. • A long romantic ad for advertising

I did not care for the beginning of this documentary, but then I started to like it again until twenty minutes from the end. I like the biographical aspects of this documentary, but I feel it didn't delve deep enough into the greedy side of things. The documentary's focus was unclear except that they wanted to celebrate advertising. There was no discussion on what can be done to solve the current state of advertising even though it was agreed that it is in sad, sad shape and maybe out of control. Also, some of the video montages ran on a bit long.

This film def has some really good things to offer, as far as advertising goes and media. I took all the gems i could find and left the rest behind.
  • I hate advertising and advertisements, but...

I love this movie. I tend to think of most ads as distracting trash in our society. But this documentary actually shows the artists who are not just out to sell products but change the way we view/interact with the world. it was refreshing and interesting.

If you, yourself are an aspiring copywriter or art director, I encourage that you watch this documentary. Oh, and keep a note pad handy because odds are your creative juices won't wait until the final credits to start flowing!

  • Not only images.

This movie is not interesting because it does not seem to accomplish an aim or purpose. It only talks about how people made it into the marketing business but it does not tell anything new or about marketing or the creative process it involves. I found that it did not hold my attention for to long.
