  • The Tedium of Teasers

There is a certain tedium to exploratory docunentaries like this. They promise insight but deliver a mind numbling drip of teasers, a constant repetition of narratives, and they pose questions they know they don't have the answer to. In the end, your work seems to answer nothing and are about as satisfying as empty calories. Were you to analyze the transcript to the video I saw, and other tedious works like it, you'd find 10% content and 90% filler content - ever dragging out the few ideas to make for tv-length episode. I was quite interested in the Tesla piece, but when I watched it I was disappointed that it consumed about 15 minutes (half of an episode) and it only delivered about 3 minutes of anyting at all. The rest was nothingburger.

Ask a bunch of questions, pose a bunch of theories, use some neato tech gear, yet provide no answers to anything. Watch paint dry.. its more satisfying..
