Lee’s 2009 solo show sees the brilliantly unique comedian distracted by scores of imaginary pirates, consumed with loathing for Top Gear and despair over a Magners' Cider ad campaign. No comedy fan should be without this vast and all-consuming epic of stand-up, exploring the absolute limits of the art form. There are also some jokes.

  • A Much Needed Alternative To The Mainstream - Wonderful!

I honestly can't be bothered writing another lengthy review as iTunes crashed when I wrote one earlier, so all I'll say is that Stewart Lee operates on a different level to nearly all other comedians I've seen - both in terms of style and quality. Long live Stewart Lee; he seems to just get better with age. I think Coogan said Lee was one of the most honest comedians around, and I think it was Gervais who said Lee was completely cliche-free; I wouldn't argue with either point. I'll say he is the antithesis to the travesty that is Michael McIntyre i.e. genuinely funny, unpredictable, cutting, even incisive in his observations. Buy it - what's £10 to have a Grade A but lesser known comedian? Not much, that's what it is.
  • A Triumph!

If you like MIchael McIntyre you will probably hate this. I thought it was top drawer, but then I think the guys a bonafide genius. Buy it!
  • Absolute Genius

Ok, not everybody will love this. But people are entitled to be wrong in their opinions. For me this is just the most beautifully crafted comedy. His mastery of control of his audience is just extraordinary. It is gold standard skill, writing and performance. Absolute genius.

A well-crafted work of genius. It just builds up to a spectacular end.
